Private Training Consultations With A Dog Trainer
VIRTUAL & IN-PERSON CONSULTATIONS
A 1-hour Virtual or In-Person Consultation for you and your Dog/Puppy
We highly recommend taking in-person consultations at our Columbus location rather than virtual ones from home although we do offer both options. If you are attending an in-person session, please bring your dog with you. Meeting you and your dog allows our dog trainers to have a better understanding and context of your needs, and we are able to discuss your dog’s current behavior as well as your goals.
*Consultation fee is waived when booking either a Private Lesson, purchasing a Package or a Board & Train program.
Private Lessons With A Dog Trainer
ONE PRIVATE LESSON
Your 60-minute private lesson will be tailored to your individual goals as discussed during your consultation. Perfect for small behavior corrections, brushing up on your dog’s current training, and beginners who would like to try a session before committing to a package.
*$75 Private Consultation is included.
When booking the service select the date you prefer to have your Private Consultation. We will get in touch to select a date for your Private Lesson, which has to occur after your consultation.
4 Lesson Package
We always recommend getting a package of classes as training requires reinforcement for both you and your dog. With a package, your trainer will be able to set a plan of action and behavior counseling to be implemented strategically within multiple sessions. Learning requires repetition and consistency.

A deposit of $100 is paid upfront and is refundable if you cancel 7 days prior to your appointment. The remaining fee will be paid 50% when you drop off the dog, 50% when you pick them up.
ADVANCED : TWO WEEKS

- Private session with our dog trainers to ensure you've mastered handling techniques.
- Supplemental training packet.
A deposit of $200 is paid upfront and is refundable if you cancel 10 days prior to your appointment. The remaining fee will be paid 50% when you drop off the dog, 50% when you pick them up.
SPECIALIZED: THREE WEEKS

Dog Boarding & Training FAQs
Of course! However, we strive to keep your dog mentally and physically engaged to ensure they remain happy and cared for! We also encourage clients to bring their pup’s favorite toy or blanket so they feel more at home. At the end of the program, your dog will be thrilled to see you and show off their new skills!
Your pup will get three to four formal sessions and several informal sessions over the course of the day. These will include learning to walk politely on leash and the other basic training skills, distraction training, and off-leash work that focuses on reliable recall. This integrated program is designed to make your dog the companion you always dreamed of having.
Your pet will be cared for by our wonderful trainers, and highly equipped staff. For over 15 years, Kennel Club USA has been dedicated to providing a positive experience for every client and pet by maintaining high quality, compassionate care, and treating everyone like family.
Our board & train program is like a training camp. Prior to your appointment, you should schedule your consultation, in-person or online, to discuss your goals and review an average day at KCUSA. At the time of scheduled drop-off, you will meet with our trainers and ask any last-minute questions. At your scheduled pick-up one of the trainers will work with you with hands-on training until you are comfortable with the commands.
Yes. We will send you daily updates and pictures of your dog's Board & Train adventure, through your app. You can also direct message us in the app for updates or give the front desk a call.
If you are interested in this option, your trainer will discuss with you the advantages and disadvantages of taking your training dog home during their Board & Train program.
Puppy Preschool Training
You recently adopted a sweet, loving puppy and made them a part of your family home. Give yourself the gift of proper puppy training that will last forever at puppy preschool! A puppy has a lot of learning to do in its early months, especially when it comes to acclimating and navigating their new environment and socializing. All puppies enrolled in this program must be 16 weeks or less, as we do not accept older puppies. These formative months are ideal for introducing and encouraging good manners, behavior, and obedience. Classes are in Columbus and limited to 10 puppies per group.
